Discover the magic of Montserrat, one of the most emblematic places in Catalonia.
Our tour offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the history, culture, and natural beauty of this incredible region.
- We will begin our excursion from your hotel. On the way to the base of Montserrat mountain, we will pass through picturesque landscapes of Catalonia.
- To avoid the sharp curves and winding stretches of road for approximately 15 minutes, we will stop and take a cable car up the mountain.
- It will be an exciting start to the day: breathtaking views, a sense of freedom, and pure mountain air.

- At the top, one of the most sacred symbols of Catalonia will welcome us: the Montserrat Monastery, founded in the 9th century.
- The imposing façade of the basilica, the unusually shaped rock formations surrounding it, the silence, and the spiritual energy of the place leave no one indifferent.

- The main relic of the monastery is the statue of the Black Virgin (La Moreneta). It is one of the most revered religious figures in Spain.
- Legend has it that the statue was found in a cave in the 9th century and was so sacred that they could not move it; hence, the temple was built right there.
- Carved from dark wood, it is considered miraculous.
- It is believed that touching her hand grants wishes and offers protection. Each pilgrim wishes to ask something deep and personal when touching it.

- The basilica housing the Virgin combines elements of Gothic and Renaissance styles and amazes with its architecture and acoustics.
- The atmosphere inside is filled with candles, prayers, and deep devotion.

- After visiting the monastery and the basilica, you will have some free time.
- Optionally, you can go even higher on the Sant Joan funicular and enjoy a light hike along one of the scenic routes.
- From there, you will get spectacular views of the Pyrenees and the valley.

- If you wish, we can also visit the Montserrat Museum, which houses works by great artists like Picasso, Dalí, El Greco, and others.

- If the schedule permits, we will be able to attend the performance of the famous children's choir “Escolanía de Montserrat,” one of the oldest in Europe.
- Their singing, under the vaults of the ancient temple, creates a truly magical experience.

We will end the day with a cup of coffee overlooking the mountain and memories that will stay with you forever.
