Private Tour to the Dalí Museum in Figueres and Girona – Day Trip from Barcelona
Immerse yourself in the medieval atmosphere with a trip to Girona and Besalú. Discover legends, stroll through historic streets, admire architectural gems, and enjoy stunning views. Two unique cities of Catalonia in one trip!

Part One: Girona
Girona is an ancient little town near the French border, with a millennia-old history, having faced the most brutal attacks and invasions, both from the French and from Berbers, Moors, and other conquerors of the Iberian Peninsula.
However, with a serious wall, which appeared here as early as the 2nd century BC, thanks to the Romans, Girona, as a tempting piece at the crossroads of all roads, was only captured by the most fortunate conquerors.

The original name of the city sounds like "Gerunda", which means - “Non-criminal fortress”. In our days, Girona has preserved a beautiful Jewish quarter in the medieval part of the city, which can be visited during an exciting tour.

You will learn the stories and legends of Saints Filli and Narcissus, and how the French troops fled in disgrace from here in 1286 under the command of King Philip the Bold.
There are many historical museums, a Jewish culture center, and a magnificent Catedral, which stands on the site of a Roman forum.

Additionally, you will be offered a tasting of local sweets and unusual liqueurs created by the local residents according to ancient recipes.
It was in Girona where the filming of the scandalously spectacular movie "Perfume" by Patrick Süskind took place.
These medieval squares convey, like nothing else, the spirit of the Middle Ages. Times of the Inquisition, chivalry, troubadours...

Part Two: Trip to Besalú
A journey to the Middle Ages. Besalú – a charming medieval village in Catalonia that will transport you to the atmosphere of the 11th–12th centuries.
